COMBATING COVID19; PREZ. NANA ADDO’S GOVERNMENT IS WINNING THE FIGHT – DR. CHINA

Thursday, August 10, 2021

In the heat of the prevailing somewhat puzzling state of mind of the Ghanaian populace concerning the national ‘fight’ against the covid-19 pandemic which has now metamorphosised to a third (3rd) wave, a prominent Ghanaian and China-trained professional medical doctor who doubles as the recent past Deputy Ambassador of Ghana to China has breathed some air of relief and reassurance into the minds of the Ghanaian citizenry when he granted a studio interview on ‘The Pulse’ – a probing current affairs television show produced and broadcast LIVE on Joy News channel on Thursday, August 10, 2021.

In his submissions, Dr. Charles Dwamena (a.k.a.; Dr. China) cleared the air by admitting the fact that even though the people of China have high adventurous nutritious requirements which is exhibited in their consumption of unconventional meat products there is no scientific proof that the coronavirus disease (covid-19) was given birth to by the ‘freaky’ eating habits of the Chinese people.

However, in his response to Ms. Ayisha Ibrahim – the Host of ‘The Pulse’ on whether the government g of the day is winning the fight against the pandemic Dr. China frankly admitted that there is a global challenge in this fight but was quick to add that the health ministry and other relevant stakeholders have been on top of this combat right from the start and they continue to make the right decisions.

He added that as the government employs all the administrative and medical ‘ammunitions’ to fight this pandemic it is also key that the good people of Ghana on their part play their respective roles by adhering to the prescribed health protocols in addition to taking the vaccines made available to all and sundry.

On a lighter side, Ayisha congratulated Dr. China on his successful end of service as Deputy Head of Ghana Mission in China and was quick to ask Dr. Dwamena what next; and in his response Dr. China reassured the President of the Republic and citizenry of his availability and eagerness to serve in any way possible to add his rich experience to the running of the country and as well the great elephant party – NPP especially in safeguarding and sanitizing a formidable treasury of the party to sustain power for a long time.
